Claire Carley is an actress and filmmaker located in Alabama. While she possessed a passion for theater at an early age, she began her acting career in film in 2020. She has been nominated for numerous awards at some of the top Christian film festivals in world. For example, she was nominated as Best Actress-TV SHOW in the 2023 International Christian Film and Music Festival for her role as Lydia Johnson in the Christian television series, Undying Faith. The International Christian Film and Music Festival is known as one of the largest and most prestigious Christian film festivals in the world.
1.) What is a skill you think all women should learn and why?
I think all women should learn the art of speaking up for themselves and not feeling embarrassed by it.
2.) What is the biggest risk that you have taken in your career?
The biggest risk I’ve taken for my career was moving to Birmingham with the hopes of working on more film sets at a young age. It worked!
3.) What is the first project you were ever cast for as an actress in the industry?
The first thing I was cast in as far as on camera projects go, was actually Undying Faith. It was shortly after I began my film journey as an actress in 2020 right before Covid hit.

4.) How did you prepare for your character, Lydia Johnson, in Undying Faith?
I prepared to play Lydia Johnson by making sure I was praying and asking God to help me put myself in her shoes because her story is a reality for people in certain places around the world.
5.) What is your favorite quote, and why?
One of my favorite quotes is below.
The race is long, and in the end, it’s only with yourself.
We tend to forget that everyone has a different path, and we should not compare our journey to someone else’s path who isn’t walking in the same direction as us.
6.) Give some advice for some inspiring actresses that wish to join the industry. Tell them something you wish you knew when you first started working as an actress.
Some advice I would give for aspiring actresses is to get rid of any self-consciousness! It held me back from being all in for a while, but when you let that go, you can really start telling truthful stories!
7.) How do you stay motivated and inspired in your career?
I stay motivated by constantly submitting, auditioning, and searching for that next opportunity. You never know when it may come!

9.) Besides acting, people also hire you for behind-the-scenes work in the industry. Can you tell our readers more about this?
In 2020, I had my first production assistant job on a movie called About My Father, and since then I have been working in many different crew positions. In 2022, I moved to Birmingham for more crew opportunities, and I have worked several big features, many commercials, and some short films. I filled different roles each time!
