Meet the Extras in Episode One of Undying Faith

Don R. Vaughan as Soldier #1 (above)

Soldier #1

Don R. Vaughan plays Soldier #1 in episode one of Undying Faith. Don is an instructor at East Mississippi Community College and is also the manager for the college’s radio station, WGTC 92.7 FM.

Soldier #2

Soldier #2 is played by Beau Nelson. Beau Nelson is a native of Northport, Alabama where part of episode one of Undying Faith was filmed.

Soldier #3

Soldier #3 is played by Jackson Foster in episode one of Undying Faith. He was a natural for his character and is seen shooting at the girls, Lydia and Joanna, in episode one of Undying Faith.

Soldier #4

Soldier #4 is played by Tricia Bassham in episode one of Undying Faith. When the director on set, John Yang, was faced with a no-show for the part of Soldier #4, he decided to cast Tricia for the part instead. No-shows on set can cause an entire production to be delayed if a replacement is not found immediately. However, Tricia played the role beautifully while also presenting a wonderful can-do attitude on set.

Soldier #5

John Patrick plays Soldier #5 in episode one of Undying Faith. He is a native of Florence, Alabama where part of episode one of Undying Faith was filmed. His character appears at the end of episode one in the scenes that involve the characters Viktor Petrov, Lydia Johnson, and Joanna Williams.

Soldier #6

Soldier #6 is played by Steven Frederick. He is found at the end of episode one when the character Viktor Petrov appears. Steven’s military background also came in handy on set as he played his character beautifully.

Soldier #7

Soldier #7 is played by Josh Keenum. Josh Keenum is a local of Florence, Alabama. The scenes that Josh’s character also appeared in were filmed in Florence, Alabama.

Soldier #8

Soldier #8 is played by Matthew Hanback. Matthew contributed tremendously to the production and making of Undying Faith. He would make suggestions to the casting director, Tracey S. Yang, on where to find other soldiers and extras for episode one of Undying Faith.

Dubbing:

While these individuals did not appear on screen, their voices did make the cut.

Soldier #2 (English)

Chance Hurt is a natural at voice impressions. His voice ended up on screen for the line of “Get your hands up!” His line, “Get your hands up!” was spoken in English for Soldier #2. Soldier #2 is played by Beau Nelson, which Beau Nelson appears at the beginning of episode one with the Undying Faith characters Lydia, Matthew, and Joanna.

Soldier #2, Soldier #8, and Soldier #3 (Russian)

Alexrnd‘s voice appears on screen for Soldiers 2, 3, and 8. He speaks in Russian when these characters appear in Undying Faith. Soldier #2 and #3 are found at the beginning of the first episode while Soldier #8 appears near the end of episode one.

Soldier Stand-Ins:

Tina Seals

Tina Seals served in multiple positions for the making of Undying Faith. In particular, she also served as a Soldier Stand-In for a scheduled make-up day during production.

Tony Seals

Tony Seals served as a Soldier Stand-In for one day when filming for Undying Faith. He has served as a teacher and coach in both the Alabama and Mississippi areas for over thirty years.

John Yang

John Yang is the creator and director of Undying Faith. Besides being the creator and director, he served as a Soldier Stand-In for one scene when a close-up shot of a holding a bible was needed.
